FOUR COUNTIES 2005
1851 CENSUS
Gloucestershire - Somerset - Wiltshire- Bristol - Part of Southern Warwickshire and part Worcestershire
This "One Stop Shop" item is for anyone tracing ancestors in these areas. All these counties are fully transcribed and have an alphabetical Name index which will literally save you HOURS of searching.
In 1851 families were beginning to fragment and move around, as towns grew and became more industrialized, people moved in from the country. This CD will help if you had ancestors with 'Wanderlust' or maybe 'in-laws' they just wanted to get away from.
Transcribing the 1851 Census started in 1995 with the permission of the Public Record Office, and now over 1,500,000 records have been transcribed. These records are available on one CD.
